Program notes:
Lama di Luce is part of a collection of pieces called 'Luce e Ombra', all of which share the same concept: two entities that exist and coexist. In the same way that in the physical world we move in an atmosphere of chiaroscuro, of colours in which light and darkness are constantly interwoven, in the soul we live in an introspective space made up of feelings. Outside lives the colour, inside lives the feeling. In the compositional texture of the piece, there are contrasts between these two entities, which fight for supremacy over each other, interludes between blades of light and sonorous shadows, until they arrive at a coexistence that symbolises the reality of the human spirit, which is never made up only of light or only of shadow.
